The house is almost all packed up and ready to go. We're saying our goodbyes and getting ready for our new adventure. We fly out on July 15, landing in Helsinki on the 16th. First real post will be from the other side of the pond!

How Finland has Changed Me

We’ve been living in Helsinki, Finland for a little over 2 years now. That’s not super long, but it’s long enough that our lives have drastically changed to fit our new environment. I only have one complaint about the Chinese New Year in Finland - where are the moon cakes? With this many events, I would expect to see them in the stores, at least in the small bakeries and pastry shops. But not a single one. Alas. I guess I'll just have to buy myself some pulla instead (basically sideways cinamon rolls with fancy sugar on top...
