Look at this little guy! Where did my tiny baby go?
It feels like it was just yesterday that we were struggling to get him off his back, and now he only wants to sit!
Even the last week has been a roller coaster of changes. Soren babbles with consonants, uses a pincer grip, feeds himself, and even cut his first tooth! In short, everything but sleep π 7 months old tomorrow, how can that be?
He’s getting so big he’s almost outgrown his Halloween clothing before the month is out. He’s already wearing his 12 month clothing (80cm EU sizing) π±.
Speaking of Halloween, if you knew us in the states, you know it is one of my favorite holidays! It makes me sad to think that nobody will be giving out apple cider this year. I really hope our renters are full size candy bar people!
However, I have been very pleased to find that Halloween is not an American only holiday. I assume it was exported through all of the movies and television shows. Trick or treating is pretty much reserved to private events and schools, but all the other elements are there. Costume parties, spooky decor, I've even found some pumpkins to carve! Small pie pumpkins... But still π
Daylight savings time ended this weekend, 2 weeks ahead of the US. There is some very real hope that it might be the very last Daylight Savings time change here in Finland - the country is working to outlaw it! Huzzah!
The temperatures finally caught up with us here, and we finally have SNOW.
Winter bundling has been a challenge. We are prone to under or over bundling. It really doesn't help that I'm trying to adapt to reading temperatures in Celsius rather than Fahrenheit! I feel like everyone else has a common understanding of what to wear because they start with the Kela box clothes. It's a bit more confusing starting from scratch! We've been buying up the Kela box outfits that make their way to the second hand stores, so that we can blend in a little bit better!
Last but not least, Soren's new favorite toy: the washing machine!
