Oh goodness, has it been almost a month? I find myself with less time for updates on here now that school is in session.
My days are quite full balancing three classes and a non-stop growing and changing baby!
Let’s see, what is new...
Aaron and I both had birthdays this month, as well as our third wedding anniversary. We had some nice family time, long walks, and museum visits.
Soren also turned 6 months old! The last few weeks have been amazing. Suddenly he just hangs out in tummy time, reaching out for toys or watching cars outside. He also has a play center that he adores, and has learned to make a little hopping motion of excitement. His coordination is suddenly amazing, and he uses that new skill to bring anything and everything to his mouth. His favorite is pieces of paper 😂
Soren is now eating real food! It took him a while to get used to it, but now he gets jealous if we eat without him. He loves oatmeal and bananas, and tolerates sweet potato and apples. He mostly loves the spoon
The new shopping center opened near us. It’s exciting to have big grocery stores so close, but the stores have some growing pains. The maps are non existent and the building is a maze! They finally added signage to the metro, but there are still some stores that are exceptionally difficult to get to. The foodie scene looks amazing and I can’t wait until I can eat without restrictions again. Until then, Aaron and I have been frequenting a vegetarian buffet that caters to our needs nicely!
Last, we are fully in autumn weather now. It’s not very different from a Wisconsin autumn, but windier and more rain. And, of course, we never had a baby in autumn in Wisconsin! We were rushed into getting a new stroller after experiencing a few close calls with our City Mini GT. It’s so top heavy with the car seat, and the three wheel design (that makes it a dream to steer) made it a death trap in high wind.
Now we’re rocking a used Emmaljunga City stroller, which is a low-to-the-ground tank. It also has better weather proofing, can lay flat for naps, and can be used until he’s 6! We plan on buying another used version, just for the spare parts, since this model is no longer sold. I think he likes it!
